Korean Drama: Princess Hours (Goong)

Posted on August 19th, 2006 in Dramas, Korean by yeehan

Princess Hours or more commonly known as Goong (2006) is a romantic korean drama. Story evolves around the current Crown Prince of the Korean royal family (This is just a fiction. Korea is no longer ruled by kings). The story started off with a deal made by the previous emperor and his good friend that their grandchildren will get married to each other. At that time, the royal grandchild intended was Yul but when Yul’s dad (Crown Prince at that time) died in an accident, then Shin (Joo Ji Hoon), Yul’s cousin, took over as the Crown Prince after the emperor passed away.

But Shin has someone whom he liked (Hyo Rin) and decided to propose to her. Shin was rejected so he agreed to take up the arranged marriage with Chae-kyung (Yoon Eun Hye). However, he still hangs around with Hyo Rin quite often. Meanwhile, Yul who just came back from overseas, fell in love with Chae-kyung. As both Shin and Chae-kyung are now the Crown Prince and Princess of Korea, their quite intimate relations with Hyo Rin and Yul respectively creates rumours after rumours, which jeopardise the status of the royal family.

After living with Chae-kyung for long, Shin began to like her. But will he be too late to prevent Yul from taking her? At the end of this drama, there was a little unexpected twist but still an acceptable one. Anyway, Princess Hours 2 is in the making.

I like the two songs from the OST; Perhaps Love and Close with you. Both the songs can be heard from the Music Video below.

Project X by NUSSU

Posted on August 19th, 2006 in Announcement, Entertainment by yeehan

NUSSU just held her inaugural university wide bash at Zouk. All NUS students can enter by just flashing their matric card and guess what, there’s no cover charge. The sastifcation was to see Zouk having a sign stating- “Private Function”. I bet the other universities are jealous of our project. I personally felt that Thursday bash was a success. The turnout was great, the drink coupons were sold out (it was really very very cheap compared to usual bashes), the crowd enjoyed the night and yeap, everything went smoothly.

I think I was a bit extra yesterday; I looked retro and ready to Mambo all night long. Yeap, I was in the outfit worn in the 1970s. Guess there must be some time warp. Haha. Had an enjoyable time there with my two orientation groups; Kaka and Blizzard. Although I would admit that I don’t like to go clubbing. In fact, this is the first time I ever attended a pub. Oh no! What have I done!! But I was quite lucky yesterday, having to won some shopping vouchers after winning a contest. (Find the red dot by Lenovo). It was so funny. My partner was supposed to find the red dot on me after being blindfolded and guess what, when the MC was about to stick the dot on me, he said, “Let me put this up on your nose”. Diao… Haha. I think that’s why we won the first prize. Bleah..

Anyway, three cheers for the Project X committee. They have done a great job in organising this inaugural bash. A commendable effort by them. Oh ya, I have yet to blog on the previous freshmen orientation projects by NUSSU, namely Union Camp (where I was the councillor), Matric Fair, FIC, and Rag and Flag. Gonna blog at a later date.

In the meantime, look how cool or retro I was that night. I love this outfit. Yeah!! Me and my winning outfit/pose. Haha.
