Tribute to Steve Irwin
Famous Australian Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin died on Monday after being stung by stingray while shooting a new program called “The Ocean’s Deadliest”.
Media reports say Irwin was snorkeling at Batt Reef, a part of the Great Barrier Reef about 9 miles (about 15 kilometers) from the town of Port Douglas, when the incident happened on Monday morning.
Irwin, 44, was killed by a stingray barb that pierced his chest, according to Cairns police sources. “He came over the top of a stingray that was buried in the sand, and the barb came up and hit him in the chest,” said John Stainton, Irwin’s friend.
The world has lost a great wildlife icon, and he died doing what he loves the most. May he rest in peace. Irwin is survived by his American-born wife Terri and their two children, Bindi Sue, born 1998, and Robert (Bob), born December 2003.

Its just so tragic that such a passionate animal lover such as Steve Irwin have to leave this cruel world behind that lacks much environmental consciousness…Ive always been a big fan of his shows and through them,i’ve come to learn and understand that all kinds of animals, big or small, harmless or venomous deserve our utmost respect. But at least im a bit comforted by the fact that he died doing what he loved.Im sure he had no regrets when he left the world….
Well,here’s to STEVE IRWIN.THE WORLD’D GREATEST CROCODILE HUNTER !
