Hi, I am one of those fans in Singapore who loved the sensational Korean minseries “Princess Hours”! This is one of the most worthwhile investment since theis particular DVD doesn’t come exactly cheap here -SG$50. But I am so glad that I had bought it instead of renting it from the video store.
The main characters executed their emotions and roles so well that I cried when Chae-kyung cried in the show. The tender moments between Shin and Chae-Kyung are simply heart-wrenching and romantic.
One word to describe this Korean miniseries – Incredibly romantic and dreamy!!!

I’m inlove again because of this tv series or movies they say .. the reason why: it is romactic with the mix of comedy drama…. caijing makes me cry…. shin is interesting ‘coz hes not an ordinary guy….. in real life is he quite and nice, what can i say his handsome…….love u!!!!!!!!!!!!

princess hours is the best korean drama ever!! it’s funny, romantic, sad. i never ever bored to wacth that drama. i like the character of shin, i think he’s a gentle and romantic person.
i can’t wait for the sequel… hope it will be much better, more funny, more romantic, and more conflict.

Really looking forward to Goong 2.
But in Goong 1. There are a lot of things I wonder that they did not really show like at the end…from the scene the king said he wants the prince to take over until when they show Chae Kyung..how long ago in between the gap..
Then at the wedding (also the last scene) is Chae Kyung really pregnant? But when did they actual became real husband and wife also never show..
Wonder anyone got any idea about those I mention.

Hi I am Mitch. I have purchased a copy and I watch it 10 times. Would you believe it? I am Korean series fan but I never watch any series that many rounds from start to finish. The story is a combination of the Japanese series Hana Yori Dori, (2005) because the age of the artists are still in school; Kim Sam Soon, because the lead actor still have a hung-over with his girlfriend who choose career before him then wants to get him back when she notice that she have lost the hope of getting him back; and third wheel character is a lot like the third wheel of the series called My Girl. I usually buy Korean series because of the actors credentials but this series artists I do not know anything about them. The only thing I know about them are they are known singers and models. What caught my eye and got me hook is the story of how 2 people married each other without love but agreed with the arrangement with different interest and motives and then falls madly in love with each other as story goes on. I like how the prince being so cold but so affectionate at the end. He looks like a prince also. Then how he start to think about his dreams. Even though he dreams to go abroad but his motive to go abroad was because he wanted to free from the policy he was born in. He learns to speak what’s in his mind and somehow start dreaming to be friends with his own family. Meaning he could play with them, cook with them and talk to them like a normal person without being afraid to say something bad. There was part that he reports to the queen mother that when he stayed over his wife’s house he could feel true warmth and love to each other. Oh how he long to call his mother “umah”. Prince’s mother got angry when he called him that because his mother told him its not appropriate. Everyone dislike the crowned princess because she is a commoner and unintelligent (she does not know how to speak English; doesn’t like reading books but loves art) But her being witty and honest wins the heart of everyone. She may not be intelligent but she is not afraid to speak her mind. Everyone though the leading lady should adjust to the palace rules but it turn out palace adjust to her and she caught everyone’s cold heart and start dreaming again. I like the third wheel character on at first episodes because he is so supportive but when he tries to intervenes between the couple I began to hate his character because he become to obsess. I would like to commend to all characters because they depict or portray perfectly the position they have in the society. The girlfriend of princess she did perfectly being a rich kid but hiding something. I like how she did it because you will not notice it until the scene that the crown princess followed her to the hospital. The overacting of crown princess’s friends really was out of line but somehow make up on as the film progresses. I heard there is a season 2 but I hope it is not the continuation of the Season 1 but different story of love happening inside a palace or arrange marriage. Continuing the story can destroy the lovely impression of everyone just like the Meteor Garden 2. They expect too much from it but they are disappointed with the result.

hi u guys…im from malaysia..im really a korean drama addict..after reading the reviews in internet regarding princess hours,i just gotta have it..though it was quite expensive,but boy,was it worth it..i really love the hero and heroin in this show..the guy is so ego in front of the gurl but deep down inside,he loves the gurl so much.i really like the part when she fainted and he took care of her and also the part where when she was asleep,he would kiss or hug her without her noticing it..and boy,when the part they got back together,can they kiss or wat?!i dunt think other korean drama is daring enough to make that kind of a scene.but if only the guy and the gurl could confess their feelings towards each other sooner instead of confessing it in the second last of the episode.guess they wanted a dramatic ending.i mean,isn’t it so obvious that they are head over heels over each other?i really like the part when the guy was speechless when he saw the gurl dress up..that was memorable..the scenery,the custome and the soundtrack are all just fabulous..im in love with princess hours!!!!

I really love watching korean drama,taiwanese, and tagalog series/drama. Honestly korean and taiwanese are mostly funny and sad too.Especially Goong, Its Started With A Kiss,and Many more. Hopefully someone will upload the next 2nd season of Goong i really cant wait im so excited. It will be starting on febuary 2007 oh also the ISWAK its start on feb.2007 too. well about goong 2 i’ve heard that the cast wont be the same…but i specifically heard that joon ji hoon wont be the lead anymore…but yoon eun hye will still be in it…and some of the lead that they have in mind is se7en…but i’m not sure it might just be a rumor….But HOPEFULLY it’ll be the same cast….it’s on youtube…they annouced it…

to be frankly i was never a fan of korean minseries, BUT i absolutely LOVE this drama… i am a very emotional person, but sers i haven’t cried so much in a long time =3. and there has been news already that the 4 main cast WON’T be in goong 2 T-T and the story line is completely different >.>

Omg. i just watched this drama, and i am so happy to have watched it. I thought it might be those kind of drama where someone is going to die at the end, but it is not. I love joo ji hoon (shin) sigh, he is the number one reason why I watched this drama, he is such a good actor. I hope he acts more in movies like this one because he has that awesome look where he can look so smart, sad, cute and handsome. I think he is a perfect man, sigh. I was so impressed by this Korean series Princess Hour. All the characters play their role so well, epecially Shin & Changeyoung, as if they are real lovers, I love this drama so well, Its the best korea novela drama I’ve ever seen. I will give this a 10 rating,but I heard that season 2 has a new change, the 2 main characters has been changed, i hope its not true, coz everbody is crazy over shin & changeyoung.

yeah..i’m from Singapore! juz wana tell frens all over the whole..this show is remarkably great and i simply luv it soooo much…esp Shin, Yul, Kang In & Chae Kyung! dis show juz started 2feature on tv in singapore last week & is already bringing lots of anticipation…hope the endin will b fantastic too..i’ve already bot my own dvd set so i can kip re-watch it again..most imptly, this show has a great story line, great casts & beautiful western gowns & military uniforms! aniwae wana mention if any1 realise tat Shin looked alike with Ronald Cheng (HK singer/actor) – but maybe the younger version of Ronald, Chae Kyung looked alike with Lin Yi Chen (Taiwan actor) – but a prettier & cuter babe & Hyorin looked alike with Li Xin Jie (Malaysia/Taiwan singer/actor)??? wateva, they reali looked best in dis show & i hope 2see more of their movies from Yul & Shin in future..they’re reli dashin & cute..lastly not 4gettin 2thk u 4uploadin so many wonderful pics online! Love this show…though i am disappointed that it did not end with Shin and Chae Kyung been the Emperor and Empress. But it kinda made me wish that there’s royalty in S’pore with such a handsome crown prince!

the show is absolutely amazing! I’ve only watched about a couple of episodes and I’m hooked! At first glance, Lu might be more attractive and gentle and attentive, but Xin shows a side no one has seen before, which is realllyy amazing!

Great show! The acors played their roles terrifically. Their characters really suited them. Shin & Chae-Kyong are a real match. Kim Jung Hoon I think is VERY HANDSOME. Shin, however, has a very sincere and warming smile. Overall, good show. I’m curoius to see Goong 2! Thank you for the pictures! It’s hard to find more than 3 on a regular site engine search. I’m so totally hooked on Princess Hours! It ROCKS!!! I just finished watching the whle season and I still cannot get enough of it…The songs are so nice and I have fallen in love with this Korean drama.
Shin and Caijing are so cute together…Shin is so warm and handsome and he loves Caijing so much…Caijing is so bubbly and cute and she loves Shin so much….There is great chemistry between the two leads and it is so romantic. Thought the ending could have been improved on but neverthless, Princess Hours is a great comedy and drama. LOVE PRINCESS HOURS!!!

From the first time i set my eyes on Yoon Eun Hye, I was totally mesmerised! I’ve seen beautiful and gorgeous women before but it is really different with Eun Hye.
There is something about her that captures my attention. She is so demure and elegant at the same time. I am extremely moved by her innocent character in the miniseries Goong. She is a Princess in her own right!
I am certain that she will be undoubtly famous for her role in Goong. I wish her many happy moments and exhilarating life ahead!
For the producers of Goong, it was an EXCELLENT choice to cast Ms. Yoon Eun Hye for the lead actress role!

hai i from indonesia,it’s little bite late, baut i also Goong as well. The story is sweet and smooth skenario. The Crown Prince may not as cute as Yul, but he fit well. His high body when hug imperial concubine so delicate, posesive, dan strong will. They may not have good communication at first, but ia make the story more interesting, because step by step the Crown Prince dare to speak with his heart although he bond with imperial manner and rule. In Indonesia there is mini series that adapt from Goong, but the only good playing is the heroine and her family. (personal opinion). I hope the gooong part 2 have good scenario like the first and they act as well. Burden from popularity is heavy, more ten 100 ton hehehehe ….

Just finish Princess Hour last night, cried till my eyes are swollen today. Thes last few episodes are really very sad. But i have a feeling the producer rush through the end of the show leh. A lot of things are not explained clearly lei, e.g why Shin’s sister suddenly take over the throne? have they forgiven Cai jin & allow her to return to the palace? was Cai Jin really pregnant in the end, if yes, since when they become “husband & wife”? Anyone can clear my doubts? Thanks.

I love Shin and Chae Kyung but just an opinion, I think Yul has better looks than Shin.. But it does not mean that Shin is not handsome, I also find him handsome.. I also like the beauty of Chae Kyung! My mother actually said that her face really fit the role of a princess.. I love the casting! Love! Love! Love Princess Hours. Although the ending made me dissapointed. Poor Yul gun! I luv him so much. Coz he has been sacrificed his dream 4 the palace & the happiness of Chae Kyung.
Sometimes Shin seems cool too! But i still luv Yul. PH part 2 sounds terrible 4 the fans of Shin, Yul and CK. Why they don’t act in PH 2 again?

hi guys..its said that the second season..which have started filming since Oct….the director is actually getting a male counterpart of actress YOON EUN-HYE…all this is taken from a website linked to Goong 2..said that the guy discover that he is part of the royal household or something…or has something to do with the royal household….anyway i will really miss the quarelling, fighting and the love between LEE Shin and SHIN Chae-kyung…both of them really bring forth the romance of the whole story…and Chae-kyung really look very very cute in all those royal garments…ofcorse…she look as cute even wearing anything…haha..

Cool…..!! I love this Korean Drama “Goong”, Both Story n’ songs were nice. I love Joo Ji Hoon (Lee Shin), Kim Jung Hun (Hye Hyul), Yoon Eun Hye (Shin Chae Gyeong), and Song Ji Hye (Min Hyo Rin) play and cute face. I agreed with you… i oso have lotsa doubts with the last few episode… A lot of things are not explained clearly lei, e.g why Shin’s sister suddenly take over the throne? have they forgiven Cai jin & allow her to return to the palace? How long did cai jin loiter outside korea… was Cai Jin really pregnant in the end, if yes, since when they become “husband & wifeâ€? I am oso trying to clear all those doubts… haix… Anyone…

hi everybody! i totally love princess hours and everything that is inside it! it is so amazing and the only thing i dread about is season two where there will be different actors. i mean the actors in the series is totally fitted for their roles. i mean, i won’t be surprise if the nobody watch princess hours for the actors but to find out what will happen in the end. anyway, i love princess hours so nothing is going to stop me from watching it! super-cool! as i always say! I really love this drama lots especially princess (Eun Hae) and 2nd prince (Jeong Hoon). I only like crown prince (Ji Hoon) much later of the drama but overall still prefer 2nd prince as he is caring and always there for princess.
Heard princess hours 2 change all casts as most of the leads in the first series not interested to act in the next series.

hye! i’m IZZAH from malaysia.i’m still watching the series,today it’s on the 26th episode(dvd here has only 24 episodes,but i wonder why singapore tv has 32 of them?)…i know i’m lacking behind you guys but they’re not airing goong in malaysia(yet,i hope)so,i’m watching on singapore tv(THANX TO THEM).but the video stores here are packed with the dvd,so it seems that there’s a very high demand for the series here.anyways…I LOVE JOO JI HOON (jjh) & YOON EUN HYE(YEH).so for those who loves them both, go on youtube and watch every single vid on them.my best pick is JJH on the runway(he’s a model,anyways),so u guys can type “joo ji hoon catwalk’ n see SUPA SEXY JJH modelling for various fashion labels..HEHE.there’s even 2 vids of him wearing undies on the runway…OOPS!

I agreed wit u all, is the best Kdrama so far bsides Winter Sonata, Full House or Hotel etc etc. They hv more realistic acting so far despite their new talent, already bcome their fan. I’d never been so addicted to any movie or drama till now. Infact learnt some Korean slang just by watching this(I’m S’porean) eg toroa-dirty(the word Yul used wen Shin n Chengyong was confined-It’s one of those memorable scenes). I’d watched countless times. I bought the tape wit English sub after 2 episode, don regret it for it’s still watchable till now. I tink I’d graduated…hehehe

i’m bee from Thailand..i’m amazed to know that this series is known in many countries ..in thailand,goong is just coming n tv on oct’06….in the first time,i don’t know that it’s very interesting after i saw 1 scene on tv..i knew that it’s so cute and i falls in love wiz shin suddenly, i try to find out vcd to see and i saw 4 times in 2 weeks..how i can do??? i’m sad to heard that they won’t come back in goong 2 ..i hope to see them play together in other series..

No, Shin and Chaegyung are not real couples. Chaegyung is still with Kim Jong Kook, or so I heard. And besides, they already stopped filming a long time ago…O.o;

hello again,pals. you know, ive been addicted to princess hours. is there any curable in this kind of disease? oh, well, can i ask you guys? if ever chae gyung got pregnant in the end of the episode im just wondering when they did that thing. i dont remember any scene that they did that. and how come the sister took over the throne? for what i know the reason of getting married of shin goon and chae gyung is to have a royal child to pass the throne to him.

i love this film so much.. it makes me fall in love to korea… koreanovels are great!.. and how cute the way they speak.. makes me want to study korean language..
the film has affected me so much that i want to repeat it again and again…
specially those segments when caijun cries and they embraces each other… i admit, it made a teardrop in my eye..
i’ve seen myself in the character of xingjun, being a sad and lonely person… i hope i could meet a girl someone like caijun who would take away may sadness and boring life…… i hope…
for anyone who doesn’t know yet…
the cast is changed in the second season and NOT the continuity of the first…why?
it is because the “Goong”/”princess hours” is based on a comic novel..
and there ISN’T a Goong2/Princess Hours2 yet in the original comic novel…
so, if the director makes a film named princess hours2/Goong2 with the same cast.. it would look like a continuity of the original.. and it will be a violation of copyright… because as i said, there isn’t a princess hours2 yet in the original comic novel…
instead they made the title “The Palace S” (”Princess Hours S”)
so this next season we wont see the originall cast anymore.. sad isn’t it?? anyways
“The Palace S” (”Princess Hours S”) will start its broadcast on January 10, 2007, over MBC TV.

i’m janel. i’m also from the Philippines. MBC will release a sequel of Goong (Princess Hours). It is called Goong S but the casts are all different. Eight Peaks, the production company of goong will also release a sequel called Goong 2, a.k.a. the true sequel, where Yoon Eun Hye (Janelle) and Kim Jung Hoon (Troy) will surely come back.
It is not yet sure if Joo Ji Hoon (Prince Gian) will come back because he’s management company commented: “After the broadcast of Goong, we have rejected the performance in the 2nd season. And our stance still remain unchange.â€
It’s also not yet sure if Song Ji Hyo (Monique) will come back because her management company officials said :â€We did not receive any invitation from Goong production company (EightPeaks) to perform the second season.â€
There is a rumor that the management company of Joo Ji Hoon wants them to be paid a big amount. Joo Ji Hoon wasn’t the one who made the decision and he only obeyed his management company.
I think we should e-mail the directors/producers/joo ji hoon/his company OR WHATEVER that they should allow him to join Goong 2.
Let us all pray that Joo Ji Hoon will be in Goong 2 because it would be boring if he’s not there. Also, Joo JI Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye’s chemistry is very strong that this will attract a lot of audience all over the world.
I don’t care if Song Ji Hyo won’t be back. I don’t care about her and I don’t like her anyway.
In the end of Goong 1 (Princess Hours), Yoon Eun Hye almost vomitted and it is confirmed by Eight Peaks that they’re going to have a baby. I think the baby will be shown in Goong 2. Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye should really be back in Goong 2 now that they’re having a baby.

hi i really luv this korean drama. of all the korean dramas that i’ve seen this is the only korean drama that made my world crazy nd keep rockin’. This inspired me alot gave me another view of life. i hope this goong season 2 the cast would still be complete.because it is the cast that made this korean drama more colorful. =))

i love korean epesodes because its so colorful and the caracters are good at acting but here in philippines no princesshours at friday so i miss princess hours every friday. hello, i really like this korean drama this is my 2nd favourite, 1st is the Full House……… i don’t feel much of Prince Shin / Gian, but i like Prince Yul / Troy sooo much, he’s so handsome and cute… he inspired me to watch this drama…. THE PICS I LOVE AND WHY
Shin and Chaekyung street kiss. This is like such a totally awesome photo. Without a doubt it captures every girl’s dream of having the perfect romantic kiss . The perfect spot, the perfect time, nothing else matters, the world comes to a complete stop. Nothing exists but you, the perfect prince of your dreams and that sweet ,delicate and passionate kiss
In part two of the goong pic post, the picture of Yul in his white sweater where his eyes are filled with tears. Oh my goodness! I see that pic and I wanna cry. He is so gorgeous. It breaks my heart to see how much he cared for Chaekyung, how his love was true, but sadly her heart already had and owner.
Another picture I like is the one of Shin in his black suit and yellow tie from the first pictures post. He seems to be looking up to the sky as if to be dreaming and wishing, yearning to fly free. To be free from the chains of the palace and being royalty, to fly like a bird.
Also I love the picture of Chaekyung from the third post where she is wearing a blue vest and she is giving the peace sign. She is just do damn cute!! I love, love, love when ever she gives the peace sign. She got me into doing it, now I always take my pictures giving the piece sign.
Another one is when Chaekyung is on her cell phone at the studio just before she and Shin are about to be on a show live. My heart was pounding and racing when I saw this episode, I was bitting my nails wondering if she was gonna take Yul’s advice about mentioning a divorce. Then when Shin found out about the call I was so scared for Chaekyung. If Shin would have gotten been next to me listening to my phone call I would have been shaking.
The picture where Chaekyung is holding a necklace I also like. It was so sad when she thought “Oh my gosh, how sweet he was thinking about me.” When in reality it was Shin’s assistant who was the thoughtful one.
The picture where Shin is standing in front of all of the microphones is really cool. It’s so emotional because it reminds me of the part where he arrived at the press conference, I think it was in Thiland and all the bright harsh lights of the cameras flashed in his face.
It made me feel so bad for him, he is so young and has so much responsibility and pressure on him. He has to travel constantly and leave his home and family. He can’t say no or say I’m scared, all he can say is, it’s my job so I have to.
OOOPSIE, SO THAT WASN’T THREE. IT WAS MORE , BUT LIKE I SAID I’M SUCH A SUPER GOONGIE!

well, somehow im a bit little dissapointed on the airing TIME of abscbn… Goong supposed to be a 35 or 32 min running series but because of their too much commercials the series now only aired at 20 or less min… and what i want is the original running time of the series… that’s why i am watching it on a different channel and they aired it every morning with a RUNNING TIME OF 60min or we call it 1 HOUR! so, for me it would’nt be a cliff-hanger that much… starts in good time and end in a GOOD time. that’s real series… and i hate TOO MUCH COMMERCIALS! cause this series has only 20 episodes and continues in part 2. ~comment in the series; “Yoon Eun Hye(princess) is really nice, she’s part of the KOREAN WAVE SINGERS called Baby VOX and i really love their tracks… i also got their Full Goong soundtracks and its nice . also, i love the series too… and hoping to get her next series called “The Vineyard man” another couple romantic story.

I am so happy to find this site… I am able to express my appreciation to Korean Nobelas, most specially to “Goong†which is currently being aired here in the Philippines as “Princess Hoursâ€. Cast by Yoon Eun-hye as “Janelleâ€, Joo Ji-hoon as “Gianâ€, Kim Jeong-hoon as “Troy†and Song Ji-hyo as “Moniqueâ€, they are all great and good performers.
All of them and the whole cast played so well. They are able to project the love story with superb performance which strikes the televiewers heart. It is a fascinating and brilliant work by Director Hwang In-roi and In Eun-ah who screenplayed the movie. Keep up the good work Korea and kudos to all tele nobelas you are producing…
I can’t wait to see the episodes coming up. Currently, we’re on episode 1 and I anticipate the next episodes to come. Looks like this will be a very interesting love story…

o my God, i got really addicted watching princess hours. even now, can’t help but think of the characters especially prince gian and janelle! they really look good together on-screen. just getting a glimpse of the trailer and the commercials on TV and even listening to the series’ OST makes me feel happy and “kilig” to the bones!!!!! “mahal ko na si gian shet, feeling ko kamukha niya si dao ming si na naging crush ko rin. hay kaloka talaga hahahah.” oh i love them super and to think they’re only being shown 4 days a week in ABS. i missed the series already and sadly i won’t able to watch it tonight. hope the youtube will be back soon or i might just watch it on dvd. anyways, i feel very awake everytime i watch it and though it’s being shown at late nights. “mahal na talaga kita gian, ahahahah.”

Those who hallyu know of what we speak. Soaps have been the latest tsunami in the South Korean pop culture wave, and searchers have been intimate with past telenovelas like “My Name is Kim Sam Soon,” “Princess Lulu,” “Winter Sonata” and “Jewel in the Palace.”
Now, a year after after its original airing, TV dramedy “Princess Hours,” based on the ongoing comic “Goong,” has returned to swamp the Buzz, with enraptured fans in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago pushing the show into the top 350 searches. Lasting a mere 24 episodes, the drama reimagines a present in which royal line didn’t end with Japanese colonization. Not everyone may be a fan, but most agree that the dramedy reeks of cutesy stars and big-budget glam opulence.
The show was made to appeal to Japanese audiences, according to Yonhap News, but “Princess Hours” has been a global phenom. DVD/VCD sales have blown past the quarter-million mark, even as it airs in wider Asian and American markets. With its availability in an American-compatible DVD format (a first for a Korean telenovela), English-speakers can now understand the Crown Prince’s pain when he tells Chae-kyeong, “Watching you sit and ask for forgiveness there, it’d make me want to puke.”
Anticipation and searches are already up for the sequel—another first for a Korean soap —called “Prince Hours.” Meanwhile, some of us are just waiting for the MadTV spoof.

yah true nga mas nakakakilig pa yung dubbed in tagalog version na princess hours. mas enjoy pa panoorin kasi feel na feel mo acting nila kesa sa me substitle (na minsan di ko na ma-gets yung translation at iisipin mo na lang buti napanood mo na tong eksenang to sa ABS) pero nakakatuwa ring marinig mga boses nila sa korean.
mas ok pa yung timeslot na 10pm kasi naman kaantok na yung mga teleserye no halos itulog ko na sa tagal at boring minsan ng mga eksena. heavy drama nakakasawa…sori totoo talaga kaya minsan wag syado dramahan. tama lang yung saktong aktingan. tas yung mga gestures at pag-eemote nila ng todo on-screen nakakasawa nagiging OA pa! sana mabasa nila to no yun kasi ang naoobserbahan ko e.
