President George W Bush in Singapore
I guess I must be one of the few lucky guy to have the chance to take photo with one of the most powerful man on earth until 2008. Yup, he’s United States President George W Bush. His stopover in Singapore brought him to National University of Singapore to give a public speech, er more of a speech to students and reporters. He’s right now in ASEAN region to reiterate US stand (perhaps I should say what his stand on behalf of US) on Iraq war, North Korean issues, etc.
First Lady Laura Bush was here too. So do the hordes of Men-In-Black. These Secret Agents looks really tough and like those in the movies. Each of them gives the signal-Don’t mess with me or I’ll crush you. Haha. Ya. On Singapore side, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong came. This is the first time for me seeing him “live”. I’ve seen PM Lee, MM Lee and Pres. Nathan before.
What’s so special about yesterday? Well, he came to Singapore to talk. So what? But after his talk, I managed to get a snapshot with him. We spoke a few words, shook hands and took photo together. Yup, it was a bit surprising to get this photo shoot. I never thought that he would come down after his speech. This is definitely going to be one of my long lasting photos for the years to come. I have no comments about his policy and stuff but having a photo shoot together with the President of the United States is unbelieveable for sure.
