Winter wonderland Part 2

Now that I am in Madison, what is there nice things to do in this little college town? Actually there’s nothing much to do in this place. Since my main purpose to Mid West was to meet up with my sis, I spent more time chatting with her than traveling.

Nevertheless, on my second day in Madison, I went around the town to take some photos. There’s this nice Capitol Building which is a mini White House. It is built with four entrances facing the north, south, east and west. The building looks nice covered with snow. Don’t you agree?

My sis brought me for a tour around the campus. Yeap, you must think both of us are crazy to walk like 3-4 hours in the sub-zeros temperature plus heavy snowfall. In fact I was the one crazy and my sis had to tolerate my craziness. We walked around until at Bascom Hall where there’s a statue of Abraham Lincoln outside the building. I forgot why Lincoln’s statue is there. Anyway, I accompanied him in the snow for a while.

I was brought to this very nice and absolutely interesting concept restaurant known as Flat Top Grill. Following is ripped off from their website.

“Flat Top Grill is a create your own stir-fry restaurant. We offer more than 25 fresh ingredients including traditional and exotic fruits and vegetables, a selection of rice and noodles, signature handcrafted sauces, prime beef tenderloin and seasonal offerings including game and seafood.”

Basically you mix and match the stuff that you want to eat- vegetables, meat, sauce, etc. Then the restaurant will help you to stir fry the combination that you got for them. If you match the wrong sauce, then you know that you are not meant to start your own restaurant. Haha.

I do hope that they can bring this concept to some other places like in California or even Singapore. It would be quite cool. Any takers for partnership out there? You’ve got a business partner here. Haha.
